First off, if we take a look at the list of countries currently on the UNHRC, it's not difficult to figure out that quite a considerable majority of these countries have absolutely no place accusing other countries of human rights violations. Countries like Saudi Arabia, where women enjoy a social status somewhere between those of human beings and livestock, or Venezuela, where journalists are brutally oppressed and imprisoned for speaking against the government. As absurd as it might sound, these countries have been tasked with the responsibility of accusing Israel of violating human rights. Only once has Iran, which hangs homosexuals and children, been condemned by the human rights council.
Not only is the UNHRC a hypocritical organization that has no place accusing other countries of abusing human rights, but the United Nations in general has been completely counterproductive in helping to end the Arab-Israeli conflict. While they seem to have all the time in the world of accusing Israel of intentionally targeting civilians, they always seem to leave out the fact that Hamas instigates the conflict by launching rockets at Israeli towns. Not once has the United Nations condemned any of the suicide bombings carried out by Palestinian terrorists, and not until 2014 has the U.N ever condemned a terrorist attack against Israel of any sort.
So we've determined that the condemnations being issued against Israel are one sided and issued by countries with no place on high moral ground. But the corruption behind the United Nations goes even further. So far in fact, that once can argue that they openly incite and support hostility against Israel. UNRWA, a branch of the United Nations tasked with helping the Palestinian refugees, has been caught red handed more than once teaching students to wage jihad against Israel. It has been caught hiding rockets destined to be fired at Israel. Unicef, an organization dedicated to helping children, has ironically enough been caught funding Hamas-run summer training camps. Just in case you're wondering, these aren't exactly the kinds of camps that have sports and bonfires as typical activities.
While the United Nations might have a legitimate purpose elsewhere in the world, it has proven itself to be highly counterproductive and one-sided against Israel in the Middle East conflict. All of this is overshadowed by the fact that no international organization or foreign power can force either side to accept peace with the other. A real and lasting peace must be negotiated through mutually agreed compromises, and that's something we should all be hoping for.
